This week was a reality check. I was so focused on inviting new people, specifically targeting the Legal Team; meanwhile, I didn’t see the cracks in the project.
First, one of the Conversation Leads talked to me because he felt the conversation level was too advanced for him. He suggested grouping participants by proficiency levels. However, a more significant challenge arose shortly after: The HR Manager approached me, in his aggressive style, to clarify that the project lacked formal authorization.
My oversight was evident, I had channeled too much energy into recruitment and neglected the necessary administrative protocols. It was a valuable lesson in balancing operational enthusiasm with institutional compliance.
Word of the Week:
Setback: A reversal or check in progress. Usage: “The confrontation with The HR Manager was a significant setback, but it taught me a lot about substance over form.”
